Summer pop-up at Wuyi Road: More than just vinyl records

In the height of summer, WYSH, a landmark of urban renewal and and creative lifestyle on Wuyi Road, officially launched its second anniversary "Midsummer Joyful Gathering" series of events.
A series of exhibitions, pop-ups and trendy dance performances took turns to attract many citizens to stroll through the century-old block and check in at exclusive summer surprises.
During this second anniversary series of events, the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Shanghai Golden Melody Exhibition" Hong Kong Record Footprint Exhibition became a top choice for many.
It showcases about 130 classic Hong Kong vinyl record covers from different eras, as well as precious collectibles such as trophies and program books from the "Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs" awards over the years.
The exhibition uses classic records to create an immersive soundscape, closely linking music with classic Hong Kong lifestyle scenes. Some visitors lingered in front of the vinyl record display, humming along to familiar melodies and reliving shared memories across time amidst the flowing golden oldies. It runs until August 13th with free admission, and is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and extended to 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM on weekends.
A series of exclusive discounts are offered to celebrate the second anniversary, adding a vibrant touch to the neighborhood. Lawry's The Prime Rib, a slow-roasted steakhouse, Yugo Fusion Izakaya, a creative fusion restaurant, and French style restaurant Vacances are offering all kinds of set menus and summer specialty dishes.
The designer boutique brand DONGLIANG, located in an old villa, is holding a joint summer special exhibition in collaboration with its subsidiary Pierre Gallery titled "Weaving Summer, Returning Home", featuring 19 artists who interpret relaxed home aesthetics through their fingertips and diverse materials.
WYSH, formerly the site of the Feilo Acoustics Factory, is bordered by the historic Wuyi Road to the north and the vibrant Zhaohua Road to the south. It has created an open, multi-dimensional, innovative lifestyle landmark, introducing new elements of fashion, creativity, leisure, entertainment, and culture to Wuyi Road.
It will continue to integrate business, culture, lifestyle, and tourism functions, allowing this century-old block to continue to radiate new vitality in the urban renewal process.
