Changning's "Ledong Hongqiao" Sports Complex Opens Its Doors to Residents

The Changning District Sports Bureau welcomed a group of citizen representatives to the "Ledong Hongqiao" sports complex at Lane 445, Loushanguan Road, on August 6, inviting local residents to discover the district's newest and most colorful fitness venue.

The four-story venue opened in May, and includes venues for swimming, fitness, indoor skiing, a public health-assessment center, and a range of ball courts.

Guided through the facility, the visiting residents marveled at what they saw. "The venues are rich and the facilities are complete!" one exclaimed.

The star attraction is the standard swimming pool on the basement level. Measuring 50 meters long and 25 meters wide, the pool gradually deepens from 1.2 meters to 1.8 meters, with water kept at a steady 28°C year-round.

It offers three ticket tiers — early-bird, public subsidized price, and drop-in — corresponding to different time slots.

Floors six through eight includes gyms, and standard courts for table tennis, tennis, basketball, badminton, and pickleball as well as the indoor ski hall.

At the public health-assessment center, residents can test body fat, blood pressure, bone density, and reaction speed.

During a follow-up discussion, representatives shared their impressions and suggestions. "The facilities are professional and complete — I had no idea such a great place was near my workplace," said Mr. Yao. "More promotion would let more people know about it."

Ahead of National Fitness Day on August 8, "Ledong Hongqiao" also offered free sessions for fitness, swimming, basketball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, and pickleball.
