Changning water carnival illuminates the summer nights at waterfront space

On August 26), the boat dock at Zhongshan Park was brightly lit and the water shimmered, marking the grand opening of the 2026 Shanghai City Amateur League "Joyful Changning" Zhongshan Park Water Sports Carnival.

The event combines water sports, nighttime leisure, trendy markets, and dynamic music, unlocking a brand-new scene for urban nighttime leisure.

This event was divided into two main groups: the ARE folding boat night paddling experience group and the paddleboard night paddling experience group.

100 water sports enthusiasts signed up for the event and they all completed group safety training before the event.

The event featured trendy water sports equipment such as glow-in-the-dark paddleboards and luminous folding boats. The vibrant lights, combined with the dazzling lights on the shore and the shimmering lake, created a unique urban landscape in Changning's summer nights.

During the "Fun Interaction & Free Roaming" segment, citizens enthusiastically participated in interactive games such as paddleboard piano playing, water treasure hunt, and pole-circling competition. Some citizens also formed teams to paddle on the lake, drifting leisurely with the gentle evening breeze, their paddling postures relaxed and graceful, fully appreciating the lakeside night view, and fully demonstrating the agility and healing atmosphere of water sports.

On the waterfront, energy continues to rise. Lively music plays in rotation, a creative market opens with great fanfare, and sports activities, artistic displays, and the urban nightscape blend perfectly. Citizens release stress and embrace nature amidst the flowing water, strolling through the market or taking leisurely walks, immersing themselves in the relaxation and comfort of an urban mini-vacation.

The novel and engaging nighttime water paddleboarding experience received unanimous praise from the public. "It was my first time trying a folding boat, and I was pleasantly surprised; it was more stable than I expected." "It was a great way to escape the pressures of daily work and relax." Behind this wonderful experience were comprehensive professional support and heartwarming services. A professional coaching team provided safety training for all participants, meticulously explaining water sports regulations and precautions. All participants wore lifesaving equipment correctly throughout the event, ensuring a safe, orderly, and professional environment for enjoying water sports with peace of mind.

As Changning's first nighttime water sports carnival, this event fully embodies the deep integration of "culture, commerce, tourism, sports, exhibition, and greenery" in Changning. It creates diverse consumption scenarios including nighttime water paddleboarding and sightseeing, immersive cultural experiences, park-based water sports, and nighttime waterfront activities, establishing a differentiated urban nighttime sports brand.
