    Situated at the juncture of Tianshan Road and Furongjiang Road, Changning Information Park boasts its core area that consists of Sichuang Building, Peakway Tower, Tongda Venture Building, Changning Science & Technology Mansion, Furongjiang Computer City, Hongqiao Times Plaza and Huigu White Cat Science & Technological Park. In January 2002, the Park was honored as one of the first seven “Municipal Software Industry Bases” as approved by the Municipal Development Planning Commission and the Municipal Information Agency. Backed by Hongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Park has witnessed the erection of Peakway Tower, Fareast International Plaza, Antai Building and City Center aside from the initial Sichuang Building, covering an area of over 500,000 square meters. This software-development-oriented Park, which is the first software park built for the development of Changning’s software industry, encourages especially the growth of the industries related to information processing service, Internet-based service, system software and applicational software development, and system integration.
    The Park boasts a favorable R&D and educational environment as it is adjacent to Donghua University, Shanghai Foreign Trade College, and Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Besides, the Park is highlighted by “Shanghai Engineering Research Center for Broadband Technologies and Application” collaborated by the Ministry and the Municipal Government, “Digitalized Public Training Base” set up by Shanghai Occupational Training and Instruction Center, as well as “Basic Information Service Platform of Changning Information Park” and “Withub White-cat Base in National University Science Park of Shanghai Jiaotong University”, jointly constructed by the Municipal and District Governments. Located in Great Hongqiao Development Zone, which is specially favored by foreign businessmen, Withub White-cat Base has absorbed more than 200 IT companies such as Ericsson, Intel, Lenovo, SeaChange, Atlas Tiger and Unionpay, among which over 90 software enterprises have been accredited by the relevant municipal authorities.
    Characterized by the integration of academic exchange, technological innovation, product development, personnel training, policy support and capital operation, the Park, guided by the governmental industrial policies and based on an open technology platform, will be dedicated to the fostering of top software companies and the building of itself into a highland of the district’s sic-tech development.
