Golden Street: A Modern Commercial Street and International Residential Community

Located in Gubei New Town, the so-called “little United Nations”, the Golden Street comes into existence in 2008 as an international residential quarters and pedestrian commercial street running through Phase 2 of Gubei New Town. There are plenty of restaurants, fashion shops, boutiques and housing agencies, as well Carrefour Gubei Store. By introducing “APM” concept, i.e., stores are open 24/7, Golden Street not only boasts livable environment but also shopping and recreational facilities that are always available.
What makes it special?

The Golden Street is not as bustling as other commercial streets, so if I want to take my kids out on weekends or have a cup of coffee with my friends, this is where I will go. Activities are held and the fountain at the central square is on from time to time. There were college students putting on performances here during the Shanghai Expo and concerts held in summer evenings.
